1 onion, finely chopped4 eggs2 cups grated cheese (preferably Georgian Sulguni cheese)1 loaf of bread or 4 small bread rolls1lb ground beefSalt and pepper, to taste👩🍳 Cooking Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until beef is brown; drain excess fat.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then set aside.
- Halve the bread or bread rolls and hollow out the insides, leaving about ½ an inch border around the edges.
- Fill each bread half with the cooked beef and onion mixture.
- Crack an egg on top of each filled bread half, then sprinkle with cheese.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg is set and cheese is melted and golden.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
