Chicken and Honey Porridge
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 cup of rice
- 4 cups of water or chicken broth
- 1 chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
- Optional garnishes: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, or additional honey
Cooking Steps:
- Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
- In a large pot, combine the rice with water or chicken broth and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for about 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and porridge-like in consistency.
- While the rice is cooking, cook the chicken breast until fully cooked, then shred it into pieces.
- When the rice is done, stir in the shredded chicken and honey.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
- Season with salt to taste.
Serve and Enjoy!
- Ladle the porridge into bowls and add any optional garnishes such as green onions or sesame seeds.
- Drizzle with additional honey if desired.
